Purpose When astronauts had to go to the bathroom up in space, the absence of gravity makes urine bags a necessity as a means of waste management.

Description 11.25" X 6.63" X 4" white canvas bag with black Velcro. Two pouches on the inside lid; one labeled syringe + Needle the other 4" X 4" Gauze Squares. Item has dirt smudges and stains throughout. Item is in bad condition.

Use gloves when examining. Part of order # 3. Please note* Singular bag but title is listed in the plural form as from NASA.

Purpose Bandage kit bags such as the one shown here are a part of the Shuttle Orbiter Medical System also known as SOMS. The kits aid crew member in treating injuries and illnesses, and stabilizes major injuries until crew land back on earth. The contents of the bag depend on the length of the mission and the jobs being done by the astronauts.

Description 4" X 4" X 2.7" white foam sculpted piece with a metal plate on the bottom and one on the top with .5" and .75" holes cut in the top plate only. Clear plastic bag included. Bottom plate has SED32102641-301, SN 1005 printed on it. Item is in good condition.

Purpose Test tubes are used for any number of scientific experiments, on Earth and in space. Foam holders like this one hold tubes securely and also more delicately than traditional metal racks, which is especially important in space, where floating glass and samples could present real danger.

Description Three canvas pouches with Velcro closures. Two pouches are 1.5" X 2" X .75" and are labeled; Alcohol Wipes and the third pouch is 5.32" X 2" X .75" and is labeled Catheters. Serial numbers are printed on the back of each. The two smaller ones; SDD46107165-701 and the larger; SDD46107273-701. All three are contained in a small plastic bubble wrap bag. Items are in good condition.

Purpose Astronauts submit blood, saliva, and urine sample for regular analysis of their health. These bags are labeled to hold sanitizing wipes and catheters for sample collection.

Description 4.13" X 4" silver colored flexible pouch. Sealed on all four ends. Item has pull-tab with directional indicator. Printed words include: OPEN, PULL, BIOCIDE WIPE, SC-2, 1B91023-503 (H). Item came with a white translucent plastic box; 10.25" X 12.5" X 5". Item is in good condition.

Purpose Skylab Biocide wipes were used to clean up spills while in the space station. Areas where these wipes were used were kitchen/food preparation areas and bathroom areas.
