Purpose PuFF stands for Pulmonary Function in Flight and PuFF hardware is used to determine the effects of no gravity, extra-vehicular activities and closed spacecraft environments have to crew health and well being. Our item has instructions for suggested configurations for the PuFF equipment. Further, it gives instructions on how to use the PuFF equipment on each crew member.

Purpose This card was used as part of a "technology driven kiosk experience" intended to show participants the benefits of space exploration and other NASA endeavors. The spacesmart website on the card was allowed to expire in 2011, and is now privately owned. The card is useful now only as a collector's item.

There are several labels on the carrying bag; one red and white label, two white labels denoting item, and a beige card giving item information. Item has three sets of blue velcro attached to item. Provenance Sent from Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. Currently held at the Orland Park Public Library NASA Special Collection. Part of order #1.

Purpose This logbook was used to track the correlation between light and sleep/wake activity patterns. Astronauts regularly experience insomnia like symptoms. The Sleep-Wake Actigraphy and Light Exposure During Spaceflight (DSO 634) experiment used logbooks like ours to record sleep quality data.

Purpose Research found that artifacts like our logbook were used to record neutron radiation detected by the Bonner Ball Neutron Detector in the International Space Station during the years of 2000 and 2001. Neutron radiation needed to be detected and measured to understand the effects to astronauts.
