Ever wonder what it would be like to see or hold a real pair of astronaut shuttle gloves? How about some astronaut pants? Experience the Orland Park Public Library’s NASA Special Collection online or in person! Check out our database here. Research and download pictures and information for school projects. CPR Training Kits

The Family and Friends CPR Training Kit is a non-credentialed course with the intent of informing you about techniques of basic CPR and choking emergencies for adults, children, or infants. The kit includes an informational DVD, an adult/child mannequin, and infant mannequin for practicing lifesaving techniques.

The Family and Friends CPR Training Kits are made possible through the cooperation of the Orland Park Public Library and the Orland Fire Protection District. Stop by the Youth Services desk to check out the kits. Kits are available for a three week checkout with a 10 cent fine per kit per day. Kits may only be checked out by Orland Park Public Library cardholders.

VHS to DVD Converter

Check out a VHS to DVD Converter to save your memories in digital format. Orland Park Public Library cardholders may check one out for one (1) week. If there are no other holds on the device, patrons may renew for one (1) week.
If a VHS to DVD Converter is returned late, it will be subject to a $2 per day late fee.

Kill-A-Watt™ Energy Meters

ComEd's Smart Ideas for Your Home SM program has donated two Kill-A-Watt™ energy meters to the library for circulation to help residents learn about and reduce energy consumption. You'll be able to measure how much electricity your household appliances and electronics consume. Each Kill-A-Watt™ meter kit circulates to Orland Park Public Library cardholders for one (1) week and comes with an easy-to-follow instruction card and worksheet to help you convert electricity use into the corresponding dollar amount.
