Each bundle has picture books, music, a movie, a puppet and laminated pages with craft and fingerplay ideas covering one topic. Book Bundles are perfect for preschoolers, but all ages will enjoy them.

We provide services and materials for infants through eighth-graders, their parents, teachers and others who work with young people. Teachers and youth group leaders can find magazines, books and other materials for group projects at the library.
Teacher Loan Cards
Teacher Loan cards are available to certified full-time educators or media specialists working in schools served by the Orland Park Public Library.

Pik-a-Pak Collection

Assignment Alerts
Assignment alerts enable us to set aside the needed materials and to guide your students through their search. Assignment alerts can be made with a phone call, fax, e-mail, or by regular mail.
Book Lists and Professional Tools
We have a great number of topical bibliographies for your use as well as for your students. The library subscribes to many professional educational magazines. There is a professional nonfiction section available with helpful and current titles. We also have a substantial collection of parenting books and magazines available for checkout. You might wish to refer parents to these resources when they ask for your help with concerns.

We encourage Orland Park schools to use library space to exhibit art work. Sign up information for the Youth Service Department’s monthly art exhibit is sent to the school art teachers at the beginning of the school year.
Tours for Classes, Teachers and School Visits
Classes are welcome to visit the library for an orientation and tour. If you would like to schedule a tour of the library please call to arrange a date and time. We are also able to visit your classroom for special programs, booktalks and database instruction. Please allow a one month notice when calling to arrange a tour or visit.

A bag of materials, appropriate for ages 3 to 5, on a certain topic. Each Pak has a core collection of fiction and nonfiction titles, as well as a folder with master copies of songs, craft ideas, and coloring pages.
