Description Three canvas pouches with Velcro closures. Two pouches are 1.5" X 2" X .75" and are labeled; Alcohol Wipes and the third pouch is 5.32" X 2" X .75" and is labeled Catheters. Serial numbers are printed on the back of each. The two smaller ones; SDD46107165-701 and the larger; SDD46107273-701. All three are contained in a small plastic bubble wrap bag. Items are in good condition.

Purpose Astronauts submit blood, saliva, and urine sample for regular analysis of their health. These bags are labeled to hold sanitizing wipes and catheters for sample collection.

Description Two restraints were received and are packaged in the box together. Each is 4.75" X 4.75", folded up. Beige canvas outer and yellow bladder fabric lining with elastic pieces to hold hair. Velcro on all four flaps and on canvas back. Items in very good condition.

Was missing in original shipment. LBJ found the item in September 2013 and made arrangements to send. Of Note: We hold the pattern for this item too.
Purpose Many personal hygiene products are given to space shuttle crew members upon request. For hair products they are given brushes and combs, dry shampoo and hair barrettes/bands. These are stored in a pouch. Restraints are used to hold objects so they do not float away in zero gravity.

Description L 7.5" x H 3.75" x D 1.5" Black plastic Sony Walkman Professional Stereo Cassette-Corder with standard Play, Stop, Pause, Rewind, and Fast Forward buttons at bottom, along with a volume slider for headphones (not included). The front face features a tape window (which has fallen away from its dried-out adhesive), a roll-over timer, and indicators to show the type of tape. Non-factory additions are Velcro strips on the front, back, and left sides, with a strap between the left and back, and a 22" woven brown string to attach the Walkman by a metal clip. Item is in good condition.

Purpose Before most technology started moving towards digitization (and even for a short time afterwards), magnetic tapes were the prevalent method for storing data, especially audio. Ordinary tape recorders were used to record all manner of sound in space, from mission logs, to experiment results, to personal audio diaries.
